Artist in Residence — M.A.P Projects (Self-Funded)
M.A.P Projects invites applications for a self-funded Artist in Residence (AIR) taking place over four weeks. This residency is open to emerging artists seeking dedicated time and space to develop and present new work within a public-facing gallery environment.
The M.A.P Projects Residency programme supports self-directed artistic development, experimentation, and presentation. The residency is non-prescriptive, allowing artists to focus on research, testing, or production, culminating in a short exhibition outcome. Artists will have full access to the gallery space throughout the residency, enabling an immersive and sustained engagement with their project.
The selected artist will work within the M.A.P Projects gallery, engaging with the wider M.A.P community and situating their practice within an active creative context. The residency concludes with a one-week exhibition and opening event, offering public visibility and professional presentation of the work developed during the residency period.
Self-funded residencies at MAP Projects are offered to ensure the long-term sustainability of the program. This model allows us to provide consistent access to space and professional presentation while being transparent about costs and limitations.
